This workshop introduces the humble bumble bee. Participants will learn the bumble’s value in a human’s edibles garden and to the wild world. Maryland bumble ID will be introduced and practiced outdoors. PX3 will share the ease of attracting bumble bees with Homestead Gardens beautiful selection.

About the Event
This workshop is an introduction to the ecology of the humble bumble bee. Participants will learn the bumble's importance is an human's edible garden as well as in wildlife needs. Maryland bumble ID will be introduced at the workshop and practiced further at field day. The garden design activity on attracting bumble bees to your yard will empower participants to take their knowledge home and each will build their very own bumble bee hive box to add to their improved space.
