Befriending Bumble Bees
This workshop introduces the humble bumble bee. Participants will learn the bumble’s value in a human’s edibles garden and to the wild world. Maryland bumble ID will be introduced and practiced outdoors. PX3 will share the ease of attracting bumble bees with Homestead Gardens beautiful selection.

About the Event
This workshop is an introduction to the ecology of the humble bumblebee. Participants will learn the bumble's importance is a human's edible garden as well as in wildlife needs. Maryland bumble ID will be introduced at the workshop and practiced further on field day. The garden design activity on attracting bumblebees to your yard will empower participants to take their knowledge home and each will build their very own bumble beehive box to add to their improved space.
